Understanding Our Role

It is the job of the professional counselor/therapist to assess, plan and help facilitate the proper environment in which to help you help your addicted loved one get the treatment they need. Some of our specific duties include;

• Providing a professional assessment and diagnosis of your family situation
  
  
• Becoming an impartial extension of your family for a short time, guiding you in many ways
  
  
• Helping to create and maintain a professional counseling environment
  
  
• Offering support and discussing treatment options, including specific programs matched to the addicted one’s needs
  
  
• Checking available insurance and rehabilitation costs
  
  
• Following the addict through the treatment, including constructing a six month contract with the addicted one when they return home.
